Sean Fredrickson, PGA is remembered as a transformative leader whose service, integrity, and unwavering commitment to others left an enduring mark on the Pacific Northwest PGA and the profession as a whole.

A PGA Member since 2002, Fredrickson dedicated more than two decades to advancing the game through exemplary leadership at private clubs throughout the region, including Oswego Lake Country Club, Tualatin Country Club, The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club, and Columbia Edgewater Country Club. While his playing accomplishments were modest by design, his influence as a mentor, administrator, and advocate for professional development was profound.

Sean served with distinction on the Pacific Northwest Section Board of Directors from 2016–2020 and as Section President during one of the most challenging periods in the Section’s history. He assumed the presidency early, guided the organization through a CEO transition, and led the Section through the unprecedented disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic—ensuring continuity, connection, and clarity for the membership. His leadership helped establish the “Stay Involved” webinar series, a lasting educational resource for PGA Professionals.

A tireless mentor, Sean was instrumental in creating the Oregon Chapter PGA Mentorship Conference, an educational initiative that elevated professional development and was later adopted by the Pacific Northwest Section, where it gained national recognition.

Sean’s final message to the PGA membership before his passing in 2020—“We are all in this together”—remains a reflection of a leader who united, inspired, and elevated everyone around him.
